When I listen to Alberto Fernández each time he announces that this lockdown will continue, I notice that he never mentions the mental health problems that this situation is causing. How can he openly disregard the anxiety, the fear, the depression, the stress disorders that this pandemic is generating in all of us?  Preserving our physical health is a priority, obviously, but what about our psychological well-being?  Together with the physicians in the front line, shouldn’t there be a team of mental health experts to help us put up with this compulsory isolation?  Once (if) this is over, there will be generalized post traumatic consequences to deal with, apart from the financial and economic losses in each household. Political leaders should show some kind of sympathy and empathy towards the common people, desperately in need of a word of comfort in the midst of this global nightmare.
