I feel so proud to be a woman today in Argentina. So proud! Proud of the courage of my fellow female citizens that have been victims of sexual assaults and are saying it publicly. I believe we are in full labor, giving birth to ourselves, painfully, with no anesthetic whatsoever. I must say I was a victim too, 50 years ago, and it took me years to overcome that episode and learn to live with that memory. So now, when I listen to someone like Thelma Fardin, describing in detail the horror she went through as a teenager, I can´t help crying for her and for myself too. Some scars never heal. Fortunately nowadays, this adamant Argentine sisterhood and its deep empathy has come here to stay. We too!
